Delivery Technology
Two Platforms. Two Pathways. One Standard.
Avant Labs operates two independent, IP-protected delivery technology platforms — each engineered for a distinct absorption pathway, each available for standalone licensing or co-formulation.
Buccal Thin-Film Delivery
Buccal Thin-Film Platform
Bypass first-pass metabolism. Deliver more, faster.
Our buccal thin-film matrix platform is engineered to dissolve at the mucosal surface, releasing bio-actives directly into the bloodstream through the buccal epithelium — bypassing the gastrointestinal tract and hepatic first-pass metabolism entirely.
Mechanism of Action
When placed buccally, the film hydrates and dissolves within 30–90 seconds. Active compounds are released into the mucosal tissue and absorbed through the epithelial cell layer into the buccal vasculature, entering systemic circulation without hepatic processing.
Platform Advantages
Enhanced Bioavailability
Transmucosal absorption delivers significantly higher bioavailability compared to oral capsule or tablet formats for many bio-active classes.
Rapid Onset
Absorption begins within seconds of film dissolution — critical for actives where timing of effect matters.
Ambient Stability
Film matrix is engineered for stability under ambient temperature and humidity conditions without refrigeration.
Precision Dosing
Each film unit delivers a precise, consistent dose — eliminating the variability inherent in liquid or powder formats.

IP Status
Our buccal thin-film formulation methods and carrier compositions are the subject of pending patent applications. Licensing available by vertical with exclusivity options.
Topical Skin-Binding & Barrier Delivery
Topical Skin-Binding Platform
Bind to the barrier. Deliver where it matters.
Our proprietary topical carrier system binds active compounds to the dermal barrier for sustained, localized delivery. The consumer-facing brand expression of the same platform is formulated for recovery and wellness applications. Both share the same underlying IP.
Mechanism of Action
Issengard carrier molecules form a reversible bond with the stratum corneum and upper dermal layers, creating a depot of active compound that releases over time. This sustained-release kinetic profile delivers consistent local concentration without the systemic absorption associated with conventional topical penetration enhancers.
Platform Advantages
Localized Delivery
Active compounds are retained in the dermal barrier and upper dermis — delivering therapeutic concentration at the site of application without systemic exposure.
Sustained Release
Barrier-binding kinetics provide extended release profiles — maintaining local concentration over hours rather than minutes.
Skin Compatibility
Carrier system is formulated for broad skin compatibility, including sensitive skin profiles, with no known irritation-inducing excipients.
Formulation Versatility
Compatible with a wide range of active compound classes including peptides, botanical extracts, and cosmeceutical actives.

Intellectual Property
A Growing Patent Portfolio
Both Avant Labs platforms are protected by a growing portfolio of patent applications covering formulation methods, carrier compositions, and device configurations. Licensing rights are structured for exclusivity by vertical — enabling partners to build defensible product positions on top of Avant Labs IP.
Patent application details are confidential. Specific filing numbers and claims are available under NDA to qualified licensing partners and investors.
Licensing
License the Platform. Own the Vertical.
Avant Labs licenses both platforms to established brands and emerging creators. Licensing structures include exclusive vertical rights, co-formulation agreements, and white-label manufacturing partnerships.
